About the artist: Born on October 12, 1937, in the city of Gatchina, Leningrad Region. He graduated from the Moscow State School "In Memory of 1905" (1962). Teachers in the specialty: T. Serebryakova. Painter. Main topics: people of work, land and sea. Favorite genre - landscape; also created still lifes, decorative panels, murals. The artist’s canvases are distinguished by a generalized image, monumentality, restrained color scheme, built on bright colors. The composition is built with clearly defined planes that fill the surface of the canvas and obey a certain rhythm; details are written out on a large scale, expressively. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1993). He worked as an artist in Country Workshops (now Sergiev Posad Moscow Region; 1962); the monumentalist of the Yalta workshops (Crimea, 1973-1991). At creative work. Participated in exhibitions: zonal, republican, foreign (since 1969). Personal exhibitions - in Simferopol (2000) and Yalta (2003, 2006-2007). Major works: “Cargo Port” (1985), “Yalta Seiners” (1993), “In the Port”, “People and the Sea” (1995), “Gifts of the Sea” (1999), “Wild Horses near the Monument to the Soldiers” (2006); painting - “Sails” (1969), “Forgotten Pier” (1974), “Port” (1982), “After the Storm” (1987), “Port in Yalta” (1998), “Old City” (1999), “ After the thunderstorm ”(2000),“ Night Catch ”(2004); painting cycle - “The Way of the Cross” (1980s); murals - “The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ”, “St. Katerina”, “St. Dominic”, “St. Yatsyk” (1991-1992). The works are stored in the Sevastopol Art Museum, Livadadovsky Palace (Crimea). He lived and worked in the city of Yalta.
