About the Artist

Nicolay Butkovsky, born in Zhytomyr in 1960, has cultivated a rich artistic background from his early education at the Zhytomyr Children's Art School to his advanced studies at the Moscow Art School in memory of 1905 and the Art Institute VI Surikov. A member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1992, Butkovsky has been an active and influential figure in the art community, living and working in Zhitomir since 1990.
