About the artist: Born June 21, 1921, in the city of Kiev. Studied at the Australian Opera Academy (1951); graduated from the television training school (1955); Institute for Commercial Art (1958); Kiev art secondary school named after T. Shevchenko (1939). Teachers in the specialty: K. Eleva, I. Makushenko, P. Nosko, A. Fomin. Graphic, designer. The main industries are easel and book graphics, decorative and theatrical art. He designed scenes for theater performances and concerts. Honorary Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1994). Honorary member of the international charitable foundation "Spiritual Heritage" (Kiev, 1990s). During the Great Patriotic War, he was in German captivity. He worked as a decorator in Germany. Correspondent for the Ukrainian newspaper Svobodnaya Mysl (early 1990s). Semi-owner (1967) and Secretary (2001) of the Union of Ukrainian Fine Artists of Australia; co-organizer of the Ukrainian Studios Foundation in Australia (1975). He worked as a special effects designer at the wardrobe department of the state television studio (CH-2). Participated in exhibitions since the 1960s. Personal exhibitions - in Sydney (1992), Kiev (1992, 1997). On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of M. Miklouho-Maclay 1996, he organized an exhibition in Kiev and initiated the issue of a postage stamp. Major works :; contributed to the publication of a stamp (1998) dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Ukrainian settlement in Australia; album - "Burden of Ukraine through the centuries" (K., 1999); graphics - "Flowers" (1956); "On Ivana Kupala", "Pereyaslavl Rada", "My thoughts (T. Shevchenko)" (1960s), "Cardinal Joseph the Blind", "Eucalyptus tree", "Dnieper seagull", "My daughter Galya" (1969 ), "Mace" (1970), "Anxiety" (1974), "Chess" (1985), "The Birth of a Poet" (1991); applications - "Svyatoslav", "Princess Olga" (1973); ceramic compositions - "1000th Anniversary of the Baptism of Rus" (1990s). Some works are kept in the Museum of the History of Kiev, the National Museum. Lived and worked in the city of Kiev, in Austria. He died on November 27, 2009 in Sydney, Australia.
