About the artist: Petro Dorofiyovych Slota (* (October 3, 1911, Panyutyne village, now Kharkiv region - June 25, 1974, Kyiv) - Ukrainian painter.

In 1940 he graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (now NAOMA - National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture). Student of Fyodor Krychevsky.
