About the artist: Soviet artist, painter, graphic artist, prominent representative of the Moscow school of Russian realism and Soviet impressionism. Member of the Union of Artists since 1942. Member of the Association of Artists "Moskvorechye". He received his primary art education in 1928-1931. at the courses of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (AHRR) under the direction of Ilya Ivanovich Mashkov. In 1933-1936 he continued his studies at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute at the Faculty of Graphics. studied at the Moscow State Art Institute. V.I.Surikov, where he studied at the workshops of Boris Vladimirovich Ioganson and Alexander Alexandrovich Osmyorkin. In 1942 he defended his thesis with honors and earned a high assessment from Pyotr Petrovich Konchalovsky. In the same year he was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1944-1945. in the direction of the Studio of military artists named after M. B. Grekov worked in the liberated Sevastopol. The result of the trip was a cycle of sketches, sketches and finished works dedicated to the feat and tragedy of the hero-city. Large personal exhibitions of the artist took place after the death of Nikolai Sergeev, in the early 1990s. The artist's works are in a number of museums in the cities of the former Soviet Union, as well as in the American TheMuseumofRussianArt (Minneapolis, USA) and LazarevGallery (Charles City, Virginia, USA), etc.
