"Backlit" by Alexander Strashevich is an abstract work that plays with light, shadow, and form. The composition features overlapping dark and light shapes with radiating lines, creating a sense of depth and illumination. The contrasting dark curves and warm golden-yellow hues suggest a backlighting effect, evoking the feeling of an object silhouetted against a powerful light source. Strashevich seems to explore themes of mystery, revelation, and contrast in this work, perhaps hinting at the hidden layers of reality illuminated by a deeper light. The artwork invites viewers to reflect on what lies in the shadows and how light can reveal or obscure different facets of existence.
