About the artist: Painter and graphic artist. Master of watercolors and illustrator of children's books. Viktor Alexandrovia Malinka was born on August 17, 1935 in Taganrog (Russia) into a working class family From 1948 he studied at the graphic studio of the House of Pioneers in the city of Taganrog with Valentina Yakovlevna Grigorieva. From 1952 to 1957, Viktor Malinka studied at the painting faculty of the Rostov Art School named after M.B. Grekov, where his teachers were I.A.Charskaya and E.G. Charsky. From 1961 to 1967 he studied at the graphic faculty of the Kiev State Art Institute under V.Ya. Chebanik and V.I.Kasiyan. Malinka V.A. participant of city (since 1955), republican (since 1969), all-Union (since 1967) and foreign art exhibitions. In 1966 he began work as an art editor for the Molod publishing house. For 25 years he worked with book publishers in Ukraine. Since 1970 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Personal exhibitions of Viktor Aleksandrovich Malinka were held in 1983 and 1984 in Taganrog and in 1988 in Kiev. The artist's works are kept in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the State Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine, the Central State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art of Ukraine, Sevastopol, Art Museum, Rostov Museum of Fine Arts, Novokakhovsk, Norilsk, Taganrog Picture Galleries, Ivano-Frankivsk, Cherkassk, Uman local history museums, in gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
