About the artist: Born on October 14, 1927 in the city of Oryol. He graduated from the Leningrad Higher Industrial Art School named after V. G. Mukhina (1953). Teachers by specialty - E. Pavlovsky, A. Kazantsev, P. Sidorov. Painter, graphic artist. He worked in the industry of easel painting. Works in a realistic manner in the field of easel painting, icon painting, monumental and decorative art. He turned to the themes of history and modernity (landscapes, portraits, still lifes, "nudes"). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1954). He was a member of the boards of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1957-1968), the Union of Artists of the USSR (1973-1981), the Crimean organization of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1973-1983). Honored Artist of the USSR (1982). Member of the CPSU. He was awarded a medal and two diplomas of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Turkmen SSR. He participated in art exhibitions: All-Union (1954-1985), Republican (1954-1988), foreign - in the UK (1968), the Netherlands (1972), Japan (1974), Hungary (1977), France (1991), Italy (1992 ) Personal exhibitions in Ashgabat (1965-1966), Sevastopol (1971, 1977), Kiev, Nikolaev, Yalta, Zhytomyr (all - 1977-1978). The main works: “M. Frunze on the Turkestan Front ”(1955),“ On the Earth ”(1966),“ Our Parents ”(1967),“ On the Land of Sevastopol ”(1971),“ The Almond Blossomed ”(1974),“ Les and Yana ”(1977) , “Morning Seagulls” (1979), “Clouds over the Bay” (1980), “Silver Chersonesos” (1980), “Defense of Sevastopol” (1984), “Autumn Self-Portrait” (1986), “Portrait of a Young Man” (1987) , “Portrait of the actor Boris Khmelnitsky” (1988), “Epiphany Evening” (1995), “Tauric Chersonesos” (1998), “Cypresses” (1998); sketch and cardboard of the mosaic “Myrrh-bearing woman at the tomb of the Lord” for the facade of St. Nicholas Church (1993-1994), icon painting for the church chapel of St. George (1995; both - Sevastopol).
