About the artist: Born on April 26, 1937, in the village of Novonikolaevka (now a town in the Zaporozhye region) Graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Art and Industry (1967) Teachers with a degree in A. Konstantinopolsky, B. Kosarev, D. Ovcharenko. Painter, muralist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1990). He worked in art-production workshops as a muralist at the Chernivtsi art-production plant (1973-1997). Author of picturesque portraits of contemporaries, still lifes and landscapes, monumental paintings and mosaics. Participated in exhibitions: city, regional, republican (since 1980) Personal in Austria (1993-2003). Major works: painting - "Pre-dawn fire" (1971), "Entrance" (1989), "Evening" (1989), "Khortytsya Island" (1991), "City motive" (1991), "Old Chernivtsi" (1992) , "Fog by the Yarom" (1992), "Vyzhnitsa outskirts" (1993), "House in the Carpathians" (1993), "Chernivtsi University" (1994), "Carpathian motive" (1994), "Chernivtsi outskirts" (1995), "Fortress in Kamyanets-Podolsk" (1995), "Carpathians" (1999), "Cold Day" (2000), "Carpathian Motive" (2002); mosaic panels - "Statistics" (1977, computing center of the Chernivtsi Regional Statistical Office), "Family" (1978, House of Culture in the village of Podvornoye, Novoselitsky District, Chernivtsi Region), "Dance" (1988, school in the village of Molnitsa, Hertsaevsky District, Chernivtsi Region). The works are kept in the Chernivtsi Art Museum, in private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Lived and worked in the city of Chernivtsi. He died on January 30, 2009.
