About the artist: Rudenko Vladimir Mikhailovich - was born on June 22, 1916 in the city of Krolevets, Sumy region. He studied at the Moscow Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts. Teachers: Bogorodsky F.S., Solovyov A.N.; Rublev V. In 1949 he moved to Lviv, where he taught at the Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts, worked as the chief artist in the Lviv Regional Puppet Theater. He took part in regional and republican exhibitions. Personal exhibitions were held in Lvov, Kyiv, Moscow, Budapest, Warsaw. Vladimir Mikhailovich created more than 130 portraits of theater actors and opera singers. Among them: a portrait of Ivan Kozlovsky, Dmitry Gnatyuk, Anatoly Mokrenko, Natalia Uzhviy and many others. The artist's works are in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, Hungary. The artist died in 1992.
