About the artist: Ukrainian painter. Vladimir Artemievich Kolesnik was born in 1920 in the village. Yellow Dnepropetrovsk region. From 1946 to 1952 he studied at the painting department of the Kiev State Art Institute, where his teachers were A. Shovkunenko, T. Yablonskaya, K. Eleva, V. Puzyrkov. After graduation, he teaches at the Kiev School of Decorative and Applied Arts. Since 1949, Kolesnik V.A. participant of regional, all-Ukrainian, all-Union and international exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1964. V.A. Kolesnik worked mainly in the field of landscape and genre painting, his paintings are distinguished by bright decorativeness and open saturated color. The artist’s works are stored in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Japan and France.
