About the artist: Born on 12 (24?) November 1898, in the city of Kharkov. Son of V. G. Krichevsky, brother of V. V. Krichevsky and G. Krichevsky-Linde. Graduated from the University of St. Vladimir in Kyiv; artistic and industrial school in Paris (1928). Specialty teachers: I. Boksha. Painter, theater artist, graphic artist. He designed plays and illustrated books. Landscapes, still lifes, portraits of the artist are noted for their mastery of execution, subtle nuanced colors, and lyrical perception of the world. The main techniques are watercolor, gouache, pastel, oil. Participated in exhibitions. Major works: "Still Life with Cacti" (1934), "View of the Seine" (1936), "Marseille", "Versailles", "In the Park", "Trees over the Seine", "Mont Saint Michel", "Summer in the Rive Interior ”, “Grey Paris”, “Winter”, “Courtyard in Winter”, “Flowers”, “Still Life with Banana”, “Green Apples”, “Behind Sewing”, “Female Figure” (1940-1960s), “ Venice" (1949), "Landscape from Venice" (1953), "Landscape from Paris" (1960); illustrated books - "Taras Bulba" by N. Gogol. Some canvases are kept in the national art museum, in the art museums of France, USA. He died on September 11, 1961, in the city of Paris.
