About the artist: Born October 24, 1924 in the village of Pikov (now Vinnitsa region). He studied at the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1947 - 1951), graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1953). Teachers by specialty - V. Kasiyan, F. Samusev. He worked in the industry of easel painting. Member of the CPSU. Instructor of the Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (1955-1963), Executive Secretary of the Union of Artists (1963-1969). Member of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded two Orders of the Red Star, medals and Diploma of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR. He participated in exhibitions: republican (since 1957), all-union (since 1958), foreign (since 1965). Major works: “Spring” (1957), “Dawn over the Dnieper” (1958), “Komsomol Patrol” (I960); “Evening” (1960); The Harsh Years (1961); "The years have passed young." (1964); “A warm morning. 1941 year ”(1965); Reflections (1967); sketch of the medal "For the Defense of Kiev" (1961) and others. He died on February 29, 2000 in Kiev.
