About the artist: Born on December 23 (10?) In the Ivanivtsi farm (now the Poltava region). Graduated from: Kiev Art College (1934), Kiev Art Institute (1942). Teachers by specialty - P. Kotov, K. Trohimenko, S. Grigoriev, K. Eleva. He worked in the industry of easel painting. Member of the NSHU (1943). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1972). Member of the CPSU. He was awarded with medals and Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1945, all-union since 1942, foreign since 1958 (in Poland, Japan, Czechoslovakia, Canada, Sweden), personal - Kiev, 1954, 1958, 1967. Main works: “Forcing the Dnieper” (1945); series "Dneproges" (1946); "Land of Transcarpathia" (1946); "Dneprostroy is being restored" (1946-1947); "T.
