About the artist: Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. People's Artist of the RSFSR. Laureate of the Stalin Prize (1949). Graduated from MUZHVZ in the workshop of A.M. Vasnetsova and A.S. Stepanova in 1918. Master of the industrial and lyrical landscape. Participant of exhibitions since 1916. In 1921, exhibited with the group "World of Art". Pictures B.N. Yakovleva attended all major Soviet exhibitions ("Artists of the Russian Federation for 15 years", "Industry of Socialism", All-Union Art Exhibitions, etc.). He taught at VGIK (1956-1963). He acted as one of the organizers of the AHRR in 1922. The artist's personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (1943, 1966) and in Kiev (1959). The works of B.N. Yakovlev stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, many regional museums
