About the artist: Born in the village of Mikshonki, Kirov Region, in 1921. Graduated: “Perm Art College” 1937-41; "Kostroma Art School" 1947-49 (and, possibly, "Sverdlovsk Art School"). Important exhibitions: “Soviet Russia”, Moscow, 1960. Famous provincial realist. He lived and worked in Kostroma. He died in 2002.
