About the artist: Born on December 28, 1916 (January 10, 1917), in the village of Stasti (the village of Kamenka? Poltava province), now the Poltava region. Graduated from: Kharkov Art Studio. He worked in the field of easel painting. He specialized in genre painting, portraits of conscientious party leaders. After Stalin's fall from the airship (in which, among other things, the portrait of the artist was wrapped), he completely abandoned portrait and genre painting. He only took up landscapes and still lifes, in which he was most successful. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and other military awards. Participated in exhibitions: republican (since 1951), all-Union (since 1959), personal - Kiev (1954). People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1982). Major works: "Koncha-Zaspa" (1959); "Rye" (1960); It is getting dark (1960); Endless Field (1961); “Life goes on” and others. Lived and worked in Kiev, died 2007.
