About the artist: Born on April 9, 1916 in the city of Borisov, now Belarus. He studied at the Kiev Art Institute (1937-1945). Specialty teachers are M. Steinberg, M. Sharonov, O. Fomin, K. Left, I. Shtilman, O. Shovkunenko. Painter, graphic artist. He worked in the industry of easel painting. The author of portraits, landscapes, still lifes. The main themes of creativity are the history and modernity of Donbass. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1945). He painted with F. T. Kostenko in the 1940s, with A. Filbert in the 1940-1960s. He taught at the Lugansk Art College (1946-1958). Participated in exhibitions: republican (1945), all-union (1947), personal - in Lugansk (1967, 1976, 1987, 2003 - posthumous), "All-Union Art Exhibition" (Moscow, 1947). Major works: painting - “The Traitor” (1945), “The Unconquered” (1947, co-author), “On the Outskirts of Kiev” (1953), “Unemployed. Old Donbass "(1957)," Near the Chumatsky hearth "(1957)," Donetsk Land "(1960)," Crimea "(1962)," With a Song about the Motherland "(1965)," In the Starobelshchina "(1965)," Folk craftsman Yazlovsky ”(1980),“ Donetsk Land ”(1981),“ New Quarters ”(1984); Graphics - “Old” (1956), “Girl” (1958), “Lily” (1960), “Teacher of Mathematics” (1962) and others. The works are stored in the Lugansk Art Museum, Poltava Art Museum, Dnepropetrovsk Art Museum, Nikolaev Art Museum, Kherson Art Museum, Uzhgorod Art Museum. He lived and worked in Voroshilovgrad and Lugansk. He died in 2000.
