About the artist: Born in 1918 in the city of Ivanovo-Voznesensk, in a poor family of weavers. "Drawing" talent in the family is hereditary: according to the family legend, the artist's grandfather was a wandering icon painter. Childhood was poor.
There was an art school in the city, focused mainly on the needs of the weaving industry of the region, but the school was well equipped with teachers and the basic art disciplines were given more than worthily. At the school, Vyacheslav Fedorov's teachers were students of the famous Valentin Serov - I. N. Nefedov and S. M. Pyrin.
During 1936-1939, V. A. Fedorov graduated from college, receiving a diploma with honors. Three of his landscapes were selected for the All-Union Exhibition.
