About the artist: Ukrainian painter, author of landscapes, still lifes, genre paintings.
Born in the village of Varvarovka, Kharkov region.
In 1928 - 1931 he studied at the Kharkov Art College.
In 1931 - 1935 he studied at the Kharkov Art Institute (under S. Prokhorov, M. Sharonov), and from the 3rd year (until 1940) he studied at the Kiev Art Institute (workshop of F. Krichevsky, D. Shavykin).
In 1947 - 1954 he taught at the Art School.
People's Artist of Ukraine since 1995.
He lived and worked in Kiev.
