In the late 1980s, front-line wounds reminded of themselves and an unsuccessful operation confined Moisei Faibovich to bed for the rest of his life. To the best of his ability, the artist continued to work, giving preference to drawing and pastels
He died on August 9, 2010.
The works of M.F. Gaitman presented in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
