About the artist: He was born in 1955 in the Lviv region. Lives in Crimea since 1958. He has been fond of drawing since early childhood, he received his first painting lessons from his artist father. Graduated from the University of Arts named after N.K. Krupska (Moscow), faculty of easel painting. After serving in the army (since 1976), he worked as a designer in the Construction Department of Yalta. Participates in city, republican, all-Union exhibitions. At a personal exhibition in Leningrad in 1987, more than 90 works of the artist were exhibited.
He improved his skills under the guidance of Honored Artist of Ukraine S. Bakaev, actively cooperates with galleries in Russia and Ukraine.
The painting of M. Zhdanov is original and multifaceted. These are both landscapes and narrative philosophical works, which the author endows with his personal worldview.
Today, the artist lives in Yalta and is actively involved in creative work. Paintings by M. Zhdanov are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia and far abroad.
