About the artist: Arsen Abrarovich Rustamov (1947)
Born on November 29, 1947 in Samarkand region (Uzbekistan).
From 1965 he studied at the Krupskaya Moscow People's University of Arts. The teacher is P. Gubarev.
In 1974, he graduated from the Crimean Art School named after M. Samokish.
In 1980, he graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (faculty of painting, monumental department). Teachers - N. Storozhenko, V. Chekanyuk.
Since 1980, he worked as a monumental artist at the Simferopol Art and Industrial Combine.
Since 1981, he has participated in regional, republican and international exhibitions.
Since 1989, he has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Lives and works in Simferopol.
The artist's works are in private collections of Ukraine, the USA, Great Britain, the Czech Republic and other countries.
The artist's paintings are in the collection of L. I. Brezhnev's family, Kenneth Sommers (USA) and other famous collectors from different countries.
In 2013, 20 of the artist's paintings were purchased by representatives of "Tate Modern" (the London gallery of modernist and contemporary art).
