About the artist: He was born on September 27 (October 10), 1907 in the city of Znamenka, now Kirovograd Region. He graduated from the I. Yu. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1941). Teachers by profession - B. Johanson, O. Zaitsev, V. Serov, S. Abugov, M. Bernstein. Painter and graphic artist. He worked in the industry of easel painting and graphics. Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (1946, from 1948 - chairman). Member of World War II. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 2nd degree and medals. He worked at the Crimean Art and Production Plant (1946-1980). He taught at the Department of Painting at the Simferopol Art College (1948-1951). Participated in exhibitions: republican and all-union (1940). Personal - in Simferopol (1945, 1987 - posthumous). Main works: a series of military sketches (1942-1945), Sevastopol Etude (1945), Sevastopol (1949), Surf in Sevastopol (1957), Crimean Landscape (1958), Sevastopol Pervomaysky (1966) ), “Breakthrough of the squadron in Sevastopol in December 1941” (1967), “Sudak Valley”, “Sudak Fortress” (1969), “In the foothills of the Crimea” (1970), “Sevastopol Panorama. 1944 "," Sevastopol. He lived and worked in the city of Simferopol, died on March 30, 1981.
