About the artist: Born March 26, 1912 in Odessa. He graduated from the Odessa Art College (1932), the Odessa Art School (1937), studied at the Kiev Art Institute (1937-1941, 1945-1947). Teachers by profession - L. Muchnik, Y. Bershadsky. D. Krainev, M. Sharonov, O. Shovkunenko. He worked in the field of easel painting, graphics, posters. Member of the CPSU. Member of the Great Patriotic War. Awarded with medals. Participated in exhibitions: republican since 1954, all-Union since 1958, personal - Odessa, 1956. Major works: paintings "We are back in our native Odessa" (1951); "Return of the Flotilla" Slava "(1955)"; TG Shevchenko and Ira Aldridge "(1964); linocut "Gurzuf" (1958) "; Before going to sea ”(1960) and others. He died on June 08, 1985.
