About the artist: Born on July 30, 1956 in the city of Sevastopol.
He made his first steps in art in the fine arts studio under the direction of the artist S. Zatuchny. In 1974 he graduated from the Sevastopol children's art school. Teacher - Kovalenko V.
In 1980 he graduated from the Crimean Art School named after N.S. Samokisha. Teacher by specialty - Balkind L.
Since 1980 - a participant in all-Union and republican exhibitions. Works as an artist of the Sevastopol art and production workshops.
In 2000 he was awarded the National Union of Artists with the Certificate of Honor "For his contribution to the fine arts of Ukraine."
Lives and works in Sevastopol.
Since 1990 - a member of the National Union of Artists.
Works are in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, USA, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Holland, Turkey, Austria.
Vladimir Nikolaevich Olkhov is equally confident in such various techniques as watercolor, gouache and tempera. His landscapes are invariably lyrical, modest and sincere. With love, he writes out the timid first greens in the sheet “Spring. Spill ”, delicate whiteness in the work“ The garden has bloomed ”, the sea coast bathed in the hot summer sun in the sheet“ Crimea. Gurzuf ". The trees on the ground covered with sunspots are very expressive in color - “Crimea. Pines ". The same modest, but filled with a sense of his own dignity, appears the artist in "Self-portrait".
