About the artist: Ukrainian painter, graphic artist. Bazylev Nikolai Ivanovich was born on February 15, 1914 in the city of Yuzovka. In 1931 - 1940 he studied at the Kiev Art Institute under F. Krichevsky and K. Trokhimenko. Member of the Second World War, awarded military and state awards. Took part in regional, republican and all-union exhibitions since 1945. The first personal exhibition took place in 1946. Exhibited at the All-Union Art Exhibition in Moscow, 1949. He worked in the field of landscape, genre painting, portrait and poster. Honored Artist of Ukraine. Lived and worked in Kiev. The works are kept in the National Historical Museum, Lviv Art Museum.
