About the artist: Ukrainian artist, graphic artist.
Vladimir Ivanovich Bondarenko was born on October 10, 1906 in Odessa.
From 1927 to 1928 he studied at preparatory courses at the Kharkov Art Institute with A. Kokel and S. Prokhorov.
From 1929 to 1934 he studied at the painting department of the Kiev Art Institute.
However, after the reorganization in 1935 of the system of art education in the USSR, he transferred again to the first year and continued to study in the workshop of F. Krichevsky. Training under the great master had a great influence on all further work of Vladimir Bondarenko.
In 1941 he graduated from the institute. The graduation composition "Loves, does not love."
From 1943 to 1944 he took part in the work of the front-line brigade of artists at the First Ukrainian Front.
Since 1944 V.I. Bondarenko is a participant in city, republican and all-union art exhibitions.
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1944.
He worked in the field of easel, monumental and decorative painting, theatrical and decorative art.
He taught at the Kiev secondary art school.
The works of Bondarenko V.I. presented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The triptych of the artist "Vinogradari" in 1958 adorned the pavilion "Gardening and Horticulture" of the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of the Ukrainian SSR.
