About the artist: Soviet Ukrainian painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Gavrilyuk Nikolay Stepanovich was born on November 25, 1927 in the Volyn region (Mikhnov village). He studied at the Crimean Art College. N. S. Samokish (1946–1951) by M. P. Kroshitsky, M. M. Shcheglov, V. D. Bernadsky, F. Z. Zakharov. In 1951 he completed the diploma painting "On the Collective Farm Current." He lived in Simferopol. He painted landscapes, still lifes, thematic paintings. Author of paintings: “Gifts of the Crimea” (1952), “Vegetables” (1956), “The Gortyn River” (1957), “Roses” (1960), “At the New World” (1961), “November in Crimea” (1966 ), "Evening" (1967) and others. Since 1954 - participant of exhibitions (9th regional exhibition of works of artists of the Crimea in Simferopol). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (since 1968). Exhibited at exhibitions: works of Crimean artists in Simferopol (1955, 1960, 1963 - dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution) and Kiev (1956); anniversary art exhibition dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Soviet power (1957), "50 years of the Komsomol" (1968) in Simferopol and others. The artist’s works are stored in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
He lived and worked in the city of Simferopol. He died on June 20, 1998 in the city of Simferopol.
