About the artist: Painter. In 1932 he entered the art school in Tashkent, studied with A. Volkov and M. Kurzin. From 1937 to 1946 studied at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin of the All-Russian Academy of Arts with A.A. Osmerkin. His thesis "Minin and Pozharsky" is kept in the Museum of the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Member of the Union of Artists. In 1953 he was nominated for the Stalin Prize for the painting "At the Direct Wire". In 1957 he went on a large creative business trip to Kazakhstan. Participant of numerous all-Union, All-Russian, republican and regional exhibitions. The artist's works are in many cities of the former Soviet Union, in many countries of the world in private collections. A. Gulyaev's works were sold at auctions: Sotheby's, Arcole (Paris), Blache (Grenoble), Phillips (London).
