About the artist: Born on December 28, 1916 (January 10, 1917), in the village of Stasti (the village of Kamenka? Poltava province), now the Poltava region. Graduated from: Kharkov Art Studio. He worked in the field of easel painting. He specialized in genre painting, portraits of conscientious party leaders. After the fall of the portrait of Stalin from the airship (in which, among other things, the artist was accused), he completely abandoned portrait and genre painting. He only took up landscapes and still lifes, in which he excelled most of all. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and other military awards. Participated in exhibitions: republican (since 1951), all-Union (since 1959), personal - Kiev (1954). People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1982).
