About the artist: Ukrainian graphic artist, painter, monumentalist. Vladimir Fedorovich Golovanov was born on September 4, 1924 in Baku. Member of the Great Patriotic War. Marked with military awards. In 1952 he graduated from the Baku Art College, and in 1959 - from the Kiev Art Institute. His teachers were I. Pleshchinsky and S. Erzhikovsky. Since 1957, he has been a participant in republican and all-Union ones, and since 1959, in foreign art exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. He worked in the field of watercolors, monumental art, easel and book graphics. V.F. Golovanov illustrates the works of T. Shevchenko, P. Ticini, L. Pervomaisky, M. Lermontov. The artist’s works are presented in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
