About the artist: Ukrainian artist. Victor Nikolaevich Chaus was born on June 5, 1940 in the village. Yampol, Donetsk region. He studied at the Crimean Art School named after N. Samokisha (1962 - 1966), Kharkiv Art and Industry Institute (1966 - 1971), where his teachers were B. Kosarev, B. Kolesnik, E. Egorov, E. Bykov. Participant of art exhibitions - since 1972. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1982. Chairman of the painting section of the Kharkiv organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1998. Chaus V.N. - "Honored Artist of Ukraine" since 2000. Professor of the Department of the Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts since 2002. Picturesque canvases by V.N. Chausa were exhibited with great success at numerous exhibitions in Ukraine and represented Ukrainian painting at foreign exhibitions - in Japan, France, Poland, USA, Germany, England, Ireland, Czech Republic and Russia.
