About the artist: Born October 12, 1908 in Warsaw. He graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1931). Teachers by specialty - K. Eleva, M. Tryaskoy, I. Fedotov. He worked in the field of theatrical and decorative art. Member of the CPSU. Honored Artist of the USSR (1954). Professor (1967). He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and medals. He participated in exhibitions of republican and all-union (since 1947). The main works: the design of the representations of “Wolves and a sheep” by Ostrovsky (1934); The Living Corpse by L. Tolstoy (1940); “Dead Souls" by M. Gogol (1952); The Moral of Madame Dulsky by T. Zapolsky (1957); “Song under the Dawns” by V. Sobka (1959); "Youth Field Whirlwind" for L. Leonovim (1960); “On the Wild Bank” behind B. Polevim (Kiev Russian Drama Theater named after Lesya Ukrainka); The Word of Truth by Y. Kostyuk (Zaporizhzhya Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Schors); "Red Devils" by M. Blokhin (Kiev Ukrainian Drama Theater named after I. Franko) and others. He lived and worked in the city of Kiev. He died on April 16, 1999.
