About the artists: Zakharov Fedor Zakharovich. The classic of the Crimean painting of the Soviet period, one of the founders of the unique Crimean school of painting. People's Artist of Ukraine, Honored Art Worker of Ukraine, laureate of the Shevchenko State Prize of Ukraine, holder of the Orders of the Red Banner of Labor and the Badge of Honor, one of the best colorists and temperamental painters among numerous landscape masters. The leitmotif of Zakharov's landscapes is the struggle between light and shadow, storm and peace. A native of the Smolensk region, Fyodor Zakharovich graduated from the Kalinin Moscow School of Art and Industry, and in 1950 from the Moscow State Institute named after M.I. VI Surikov, faculty of painting. Zakharov's teachers were famous Russian artists A.V. Lentulov, G.G. Ryazhsky, V.V. Favorsky, I.I. Chekmazov, who taught him not only professional skills, but also instilled a love of beauty, to the great Russian national heritage ... The paintings of Zakharov Fyodor Zakharovich are in the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), in museums in Ukraine (Simferopol, Odessa, Kiev), Russia, in private collections in Russia and abroad.
