About the artist: Ukrainian painter, graphic artist. Igor Vladimirovich Smychek was born on November 24, 1953 in Kirovograd. Graduated from the Odessa State Art School named. N. Grekova (teacher A. Chernyaev), in 1981 - the Ukrainian Academy of Printing named. I. Fedorova (teachers: V. Ovchinnikov, Y. Charyshnikov). Smychek I.V. - Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1987. Teacher of the Kirovograd children's art school named after A.A. Osmerkina. Works in the field of painting and graphics. Author of illustrations for more than 20 books, including: "Moldavian folk tales" (1980), "Pippi Long Stocking" (1984), the album "M. Kropivnitsky's Theater" (2001). I.V. Smychek is a participant in numerous art exhibitions. Personal exhibitions were held in the Kirovograd Regional Art Museum in 2004 and 2005. The artist's works are in museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
