About the artist: Sergey Borisovich Yukhimov was born in Odessa in 1958. He studied at the children's art school, then at the Odessa Pedagogical Institute at the art-graphic faculty. S. Yukhimov is a graphic artist who was mainly engaged in book illustration, designed more than 10 books. The works were reproduced in the journals of Ukraine, Russia, Western Europe. He is the only artist in the former USSR whose illustrations for the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien were published. Solo exhibitions of S. Yukhimov were held in Odessa, Belgrade and Paris. The work of the artist participated in the auction "Christie". The artist lived and worked in Odessa. Died in December 2016.
