About the artist: Born November 5, 1913 in Odessa. Graduated from the Odessa Art School (1939). Teachers by profession - O. Shovkunenko, Y. Bershadsky, L. Muchnik, P. Zlochevsky, M. Zaitsev, M. Pavlyuk. Member of the CPSU. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He worked in the field of theatrical and decorative arts. Major works: design of the performances "Death of the Squadron" by O. Korneichuk (1947); "Under the Golden Eagle" by J. Galan (1952); "The Adventures of the Gallant Soldier Schweik" by G. Jura based on the novel by J. Hasek (1955); “Shelmenko-Batman” by G. Kvitka-Osnovyanenka (1963); “Nazar Stodolya” by T. Shevchenko (Odessa Ukrainian Drama Theater named after the October Revolution) and others. Participated in republican exhibitions since 1947. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and medals.
