About the artist: Ukrainian painter. People's Artist of Ukraine. Viktor Ivanovich Ryzhikh was born on July 29, 1933 in Omsk, Russia. In 1958 he graduated from the Kiev Art Institute, where he studied at the workshop of battle and historical painting with K.D. Trokhimenko, V.G. Puzyrkova, G.S. Melikhova. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR since 1961. IN AND. Ryzhikh is a participant in art exhibitions: republican - since 1959, all-Union - since 1967, foreign - since 1974. Major works: "Relics of Brest" (1968), "Search" (1975), "Kiev Football" (1979), "On the Capitol" (1990), "Girona" (1997) ... The artist wrote a number of paintings in collaboration with his wife, Galina Alexandrovna Neledva. Studio Ryzhikh and Neledva was one of the centers of "artistic freedom" on an equal footing with such "informal academies" as the workshops of F. Manaylo in Uzhgorod, R. Selsky in Lvov, S.
