About the artist: Filippov Zinovy ​​Ivanovich (1923-2012) - Crimean painter. Landscape painter, portrait painter, master of still life and thematic paintings.

Born September 23, 1923 in the village. Rechitsa, Oryol Oblast (Russia).
Member of the Great Patriotic War.
In 1926-1931 lived in Sevastopol.
In 1946 he entered the Moscow Art College (studied under K. Dorokhov), then at the Riga School of Applied Arts.
In 1953 he graduated from the Academy of Arts of the Latvian SSR in Riga. Teachers: K. Uban, W. Swamp.
Since 1953 he taught at the Riga Art College.
Since 1956 he lived and worked in Sevastopol.
Since 1956 he worked in the Sevastopol art and production workshops.
Member of city, regional, republican, all-Union and international exhibitions.
Since 1960 - a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Since 2000 - Member of the Creative Union of Russia, the International Federation of Artists.
Since 2004 - Honored Artist of the ARC, Honored Artist of Ukraine.

Works are in museum and private collections in Ukraine, Russia and in other countries, as well as in the National Museum of Prague.
