About the artists: Ruban Grigory Savelyevich. Soviet Ukrainian artist, landscape painter. Member of the Union of Arts of the USSR. Born in 1925. Studied at the Republican Art School named after T.G. Shevchenko. After completing his studies, he returned to Zaporozhye, where he continued his studies with G. Kolosovsky. Since 1956, he took part in exhibitions of the Zaporozhye Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Member of All-Union, Republican and Regional exhibitions. He worked mainly in the field of landscape and genre painting. His works have a rich, bright palette and a highly professional writing technique. The artist’s works are kept in public and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. He passed away in 1997.
