About the artist: He was born on December 28, 1916 (January 10, 1917), in the village of Stasti (the village of Kamenka? Poltava province), now the Poltava region. Graduated: Kharkov art studio. He worked in the industry of easel painting. He specialized in genre painting, portraits of conspiratorial party leaders. After the fall of the portrait of Stalin from the airship (in which, among other things, the artist was blamed), he completely abandoned portrait and genre painting. He was engaged only in landscapes and still lifes, in which he was most successful. The participant of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and other military awards. Participated in exhibitions: republican (since 1951), all-union (since 1959), personal - Kiev (1954). People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (since 1982). The main works: "Koncha Zaspa" (1959): "Rye sex" (1960); “Evening” (1960); "The Endless Field" (1961); “Life goes on” and others. He lived and worked in Kiev, died 2007.
