About the artist: Ukrainian painter

Igor Ivanovich Gubsky was born on June 11, 1954 in the city of Kadievka (in 1978 he was renamed Stakhanov) of the Lugansk region in the family of the artist - Ivan Kondratievich Gubsky.
In 1973 he graduated from the Voroshilovgrad State Art College.
From 1973 to 1979 he studied at the Kiev State Art Institute in the workshop of V.G. Bubbles.
From the very first courses, the KGHI participated in city, republican and all-Union art exhibitions, and from the mid-1980s in international exhibitions.
After serving in the army in 1981, Igor Gubsky entered graduate school, studied at the creative workshops of the USSR Academy of Arts under Professor S. A. Grigoryeva.
Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR since 1983
In 1990, all the works of the artist were sold at the Cristie’s auction.
In 2004, Gubsky Igor Ivanovich expelled from the members of the National Artists Union and deprived of a creative workshop.
As of February 20, 2013 in the lists of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine does not appear (Dovidnik of the National Artists List in Ukraine.? K., 2013).
