About the artist: Zvyagintsev Rostislav Mikhailovich was born in 1938 on the island of Sakhalin.
Graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Art School. Lecturer M. S. Borovsky.
From 1961 to 1967 he studied at the Kiev Art Institute, specializing in painting. Teachers: I. Tikhiy, A. Plamenitsky, V. Puzyrkov.
Since 1968 he has been living and working in Kiev.
Since 1974, a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Honored Artist of Ukraine since 1988.
Participant of many regional, republican, all-union and foreign exhibitions. The artist's works are kept in the Lviv Art Museum, in the Kherson Museum of Local Lore, in the Ukrainian Academy of Arts in Kiev, in the museums of Chernigov, in the Rivne Historical Museum. Works of R.M. Zvyagintsev are kept in private collections in Ukraine, England, France, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium, USA, Canada.
In his art, the painter consistently continues the traditions of Ukrainian easel painting. The world of paintings by the artist Rostislav Mikhailovich Zvyagintsev is the world of the modest, painfully close, native nature of Ukraine. In every work, whether in a large picture or in a small sketch, a piece of the artist's soul is embedded.
