About the artist: Born on February 5, 1921 in the village of Litvinovka (now Dnepropetrovsk region). Graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1952). Teachers by profession - V. Kostetsky, K. Trokhimenko. He worked in the field of easel painting. Member of the National Union of Artists (1956). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1977). People's Artist of Ukraine (2004). Member of the CPSU. Member of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and medals. Participated in republican and all-Union exhibitions since 1951. Foreign exhibitions: in Japan (1974-1976), Finland (1977), Bulgaria (1984). Major works: "Lesya Ukrainka" (1952, 1962), "Autumn Putin" (1957); Metrostroyevtsy (1957), Into Science (1961); “On the construction of the Dneprodzerzhinsk HPP” (1963); TG Shevchenko in Kamenets-Podolsk (1964); "Memories of Karmalyuk" (1964); Metrostroevtsy (1967); "At the Wall of the Communards" (1967 - 1969); “I stood and listened to the spring ...” (1970), “On the liberated land. Year 1943 "(1978)," Crimea "(1981)," Portrait of a mother "(1984)," Commissioner of the 186th Brest division P. Kudryavtsev "(1985)," Armored fighters "(1989)," Seascape "," Blooming almonds "(1991). The works are kept in the National Art Museum, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Cherkassk, Berdyansk art museums; Kherson, Sevastopol art galleries; in the Museum of Lesya Ukrainsky (Kiev), Kamyanets-Podolsk, Kiev historical museums; Khmelnitsky, Novomoskovsky, Korsun-Shevchenkovsky local history museums. He died in 2012.
