About the artist: Born in Khabarovsk in 1908. Graduated: Central Studio “Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia” (AHRR), Moscow, 1928-29; The working faculty at the Institute of Proletarian Fine Arts (INPII) 1931-32; “Institute of Proletarian Fine Arts (INPII)” / “St. Petersburg Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture” 1932-38. Participated in exhibitions since 1929. Important exhibitions: "All-Union Art Exhibition", Moscow, 1955. Member of the OMAHR (Youth Association of the Association of Artists of the Revolution) 1928-30. Famous works: Violation of the blockade (team work) (1943, Russian Museum). Taught: "Leningrad Higher Industrial Art School" 1949-84. Famous realist of the Leningrad region. He lived and worked in Leningrad. He died in Leningrad in 1984.
