About the artist: Ukrainian painter. Stepan L. Koshevoy was born on April 17, 1921 in the village of. Petrikovka Dnipropetrovsk region. Member of the Great Patriotic War. Marked with military awards. In 1950 he graduated from the Kiev Art Institute, where his teachers were K. Yeleva, G. Svetlitsky, V. Kostetsky and I. Shtilman. In the years 1950-51 the painting of the young artist debuted at the All-Union Art Exhibition, which was held from December 20 to May 30 in Moscow, at the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the Exhibition Hall of the Moscow Association of Artists, in the halls of the USSR Academy of Arts, in the Exhibition Hall of the Union of Soviet Artists. L.S.Kosheva - an exhibitor of numerous republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. He lived and worked in Kiev. Since 1972 Kosheva S.L. - "Honored Worker of Culture of the USSR". Awarded the Diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR. The artist’s works are stored in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
