About the artist: He was born on February 23, 1919 in the village of Novoivanovka (now Donetsk region). He graduated from the Lugansk Art College (1949) and the I. Yu. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1955). He studied under M. Wolstein. Member of the CPSU. Member of World War II. He worked in the field of art criticism, art criticism, easel painting and graphics. The main works: "Weekly drawing in the bright systems of Chistyakov", L., 1955; "AT. X. Fedchenko ", Lugansk, 1959; articles are in. "Creativity", 1959, No. I, No. 6; a series of linocuts "Lugansk is under construction" (1963 - 1965) and others. He participated in republican exhibitions since 1963. He was awarded a medal. He died on May 8, 1988.
