About the artist: Born on November 15, 1932, in the city of Konstantinovka, Stalingrad region (now Donetsk region). Graduated from the Kharkov Art and Industry Institute (1960). Teachers in the specialty: M. Ryabinin. Sculptor. The main industries are monumental and easel sculpture. Monumental sculptures of the artist installed in the Sumy region. The main features of the realistic images created by the author in line with the "severe style" are courage, unbending will. The author used concrete, metal and wood, applying vigorous modeling in large masses. The artist showed high professional skill in creating images of famous figures of Russian culture. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1975). He worked at the Sumy Art Production Plant (since 1960). Participated in exhibitions: regional, republican and foreign (since 1961). Major works: Monument to Partisan Glory, People's Avengers (1966), Tractor Driver (1959), K. Ushinsky "(1969)," Partisan Motya Gendina "(1970)," T. Shevchenko "," R. Rudnev "," A. Shaporenko "(1974)," Boy "(1985); entrance sign to the city of Putivl, Sumy region (1973). Author of the project for the reconstruction of the monument to I. Kharitonenko in Sumy (1997). Lived and worked in the city of Sumy, died on July 21, 2001.
