About the artist: Born on November 28, 1928 in the village of Novoivanovka, now the Poltava region. Graduated: Kiev Art School (1948), Kiev State Art Institute (1949-1955). Teachers by specialty - O. Shovkunenko, V. Puzyrkov. Painter. He worked in the industry of easel painting. He worked in the field of thematic paintings on historical themes, portraits, landscapes. Canvases are indicated by drama, dynamic compositional solution, color saturation; the color of landscapes is life-affirming. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1960). Honored Artist of the USSR (1971). People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1979). Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2001). He was awarded a Certificate of Honor of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR and a medal. Participated in exhibitions: republican (1957), all-union (1961).
